A/R Solutions is a medical billing service located in Seattle. The company is owned and operated by accounting specialist, Angel K. Chaffin, B.A., C.P.C., (Certified Professional Coder), C.H.C.C., (Certified Healthcare Compliance Consultant), who has her Bachelors Degree in accounting from the University of Washington. She is supported by a staff of five billing specialists. Current services include billing, contract tracking, payment posting and correspondence.

Chaffin, with 16 years of experience, is proficient in the knowledge and operation of several accounting systems and is flexible when meeting the specialized needs of her clients. Her main medical billing software package is Medisoft. Accounting software, she says, can range from under $100 to several thousand dollars. By using a medical billing service medical practices can save thousands of dollars in computer and software costs and upgrade costs.

Chaffin can also help clients determine what their needs are after evaluating their current accounting systems and history. Chaffin, 34, began developing her accounting skills by working for several medical practices during the 1980's. She also worked for a certified public accounting firm performing medical billing and accounting audits. Then after accumulating this valuable experience she decided to fill a niche in the market and start her own business.

A/R Solutions has a number of medical practice clients. Future business development plans include becoming a certified compliance consultant. For some clients traveling to their office is required. In other cases, accounts receivable and billing services can be performed remotely from the offices of A/R Solutions using sophisticated computer networking.
